Registered Psychotherapist with the State of Colorado, NLC. She has studied with Dr. Est�s at the Archetypal and Cross Cultural Studies Institute. Sofia was raised with the healing traditions of her ancestors from Cubero and Tijeras New Mexico. As an adult, she continued to learn the healing ways of her ancestors: Curanderismo and Meso American Healing Techniques with Centro Del Desarrollo Humano, University of Morelos, Cuernavaca Mexico in 2007-ongoing.

Estara has been offering community health education to Denver Housing Authority residents since 2010 - Projects are ongoing.

Dr Ornelas is currently the assistant to the President of the State University of Morelos, Mexico (UAEM). Arturo lived in Geneva, where he met and studied with Paolo Frieire. Eventually he received a Bachelor of Arts, a Master of Education, A Master of Economics and Ph.D. Dr. Ornelas is a member of the World Health Organization working on improving global health matters. He is an international speaker on health and indigenous medicine and has spoken at universities around the world including Harvard and the University of Berlin.

In Switzerland, focused on the traditional medicine of Latin American migrants, specializing in health and development, from a perspective of traditional medicine. After years of training, his life is dedicated to working as a healer focused on global health and planet sustainability.

Viridiana Medina Rosas

Studied law at the Faculty of Law at UNAM. Realized practicing law was not her calling, and her true purpose was to keep the family tradition of transmitting ancestral knowledge. Raised in a family of women healers, she carried on the tradition in the region of Mazahua, Atlacomulco, Edo de Mexico. Today, her life is dedicated to sharing these lessons; taking up the inheritance of her grandmothers as a healer.

To Whom it may concern:

I am writing this letter on behalf of the La Casa Quigg-Newton Clinic in support of Estara Health and Wellness. We have been extremely fortunate to make a connection with this group this past year.

I met their director, Sofia Chavez-Frederick, and was immediately impressed. She has a positive and calming presence as well as being a tremendously inspirational individual. Our first interaction was having her and her group attend our all staff clinic retreat. At the retreat, our staff experienced a �healing circle�. This 30 minute exercise had all 30 or so of us believers in the healing and therapeutic powers that Estara can achieve.

Shortly after this positive experience, we began to work on how our clinic and her group could collaborate and find a creative way to bring these valuable services to our patients.

We came up with a project where the healing group came to our clinic one afternoon every 2 weeks and did brief education to interested patients followed by a brief healing session. This was tremendously beneficial in many ways that was able to be sustained for approximately 4 months. Many of the patients that they touched suffer from chronic pain and they benefitted and appreciated the interventions.

The 9 clinical providers at our clinic as well as our nursing and support staff are all in support of finding a way to continue this positive relationship.
